Union Health Minister J P Nadda visited Assam on January 8 and dedicated several projects to the people. He inaugurated the new library and informatics centre at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) in Tezpur in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and attended the Board of Governors meeting of the institute.
“This state-of-the-art facility will play an important role in empowering students with the tools and resources required for their academic growth and research in mental health,” Nadda said.

The Union Minister reached the Mangaldai Civil Hospital and laid the foundation stone of a state-of-the-art 50-bed critical care block (CCB) under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. MP Dilip Saikia was also present on the occasion.
He visited Darrang Cancer Hospital and reviewed its facilities and medical services. Thereafter, the Union Minister visited AIIMS, Guwahati and reviewed the progress of the institution.
The Union Minister’s visit to Assam showcased projects related to road infrastructure and skill development, among many other areas.
