- To ensure the authenticity of Aadhaar applicants in Assam, Cabinet has accorded approval to the proposal for implementation of new Standard Operating Procedure under “State Government Portal” for Aadhaar Enrolment in Assam
- Taking cognizance of the issues faced by micro and small landholders in payment of Khazana online, Cabinet has approved manual payment of Khazana with manual receipts, as per the system prevailing earlier
– Cabinet has however allowed continuation of the process of onboarding Pattadars into e-Khazana portal in the interest of land administration reforms
- Cabinet has approved waiver of renewal fees under Societies Registration Act to facilitate application for allotment of land under Mission Basundhara 3.0 for non-individual juridical entities, such as Namghars, religious institutions and non-Govt educational institutions

- BVFCL, a Central PSU, is engaged in gas-based Urea production in Namrup, Dibrugarh. With changing times its operations and production need to be augmented to meet current requirements
– To revitalise its operations and give it a fresh lease of life, Cabinet has approved an Equity Investment of 40% worth ₹1,272cr in a JV to build Namrup-IV unit
- Cabinet has approved Conversion of Government of Assam Loans and Grants to APDCL, AEGCL and APGCL into Equity in line with the provisions of Indian Government Accounting Standard (IGAS)- 4
- Cabinet has approved modification in the notified list of villages under Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council to include “Sonowal part” in some of the notified villages
- Cabinet has approved submission of applications for allotment or settlement of the land under MB 3.0 without mandatory submission of the evidence such as certificate of registration, trust deed etc. by entities like educational, religious and cultural institutions
- To facilitate construction of a State-of-the-art Judicial Township in Rangmahal, North Guwahati, Cabinet has accorded approval to Non A.A. Financial Sanction for Acquisition of Patta Land
- To improve rural connectivity in 6 districts of the State, Cabinet has approved construction of 14 Rural Road projects worth ₹81cr

- An internal review has unearthed 683 Govt employees taking undue benefits of Orunodoi, going against the set rules for availing the scheme
– Cabinet has approved initiating Departmental Proceedings and issuing of Show Cause notice to the 683 employees for illegally taking Orunodoi benefits
- To promote the habit of book reading amongst the people, particularly the youth, Cabinet has approved celebrating 2025 as the ‘Year of Reading’
-Assam Book Fair will be held in Khanapara this time for the first time to facilitate ease of book lovers
-Book Fairs will be conducted in all districts through the year, and promote reading as a habit
-Books will be provided as gifts in the New Year
–Departments will construct or create libraries to promote reading amongst Govt employees
- To enforce a formal mechanism to facilitate placement of skilled/semi-skilled candidates overseas, Cabinet has approved setting up of the Assam International Skill Centre (AISC) under ASDM
- Gaon Pradhans are important functionaries of the Administration and play a key role in looking after local level matters
-To provide them compensation for their work, Cabinet has approved monthly remuneration to all the present Gaon Pradhans in the respective Forest Villages and in the villages under FRA Act 2006
-A remuneration of ₹9,000 for each Gaon Pradhan per month has been approved to be paid from January 1, 2025 to 278 Gaon Pradhans in Forest Villages and 668 Gaon Pradhans in FRA villages in non 6th Schedule areas
