To encourage and support youths after their undergraduate studies, the Assam Budget 2024–25 has introduced an initiative titled “Mukhya Mantrir Jibon Anuprerana”.
Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to students who graduate from government universities or colleges across Assam in 2025, including research scholars. Undergraduate degree holders will receive a monthly stipend of ₹2,500 for one year. Additionally, research scholars affiliated with State or Central Government institutions will be granted a one-time assistance of ₹20,000, regardless of gender.
Special financial support of ₹40,000 will also be provided as a one-time grant to research scholars with disabilities.
To be eligible for this scheme, students must have graduated from a Government institution. Those enrolled in private institutions will not be considered for the scheme.
