- To allow seamless mutual transfer process among Grade III & Grade IV employees, Cabinet has accorded approval to the process of mutual transfer through Swagata Satirtha Mutual Transfer online portal
- To give fillip to rural connectivity and rural infrastructure, Cabinet has approved 104 projects worth 210.8 Cr benefitting people in 12 districts of the State
- To ensure clean drinking water to households in urban areas, Cabinet has approved ₹207.92cr for carrying out water supply projects in four towns, at Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur & North Lakhimpur, under Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF)
- To streamline birth and death registration processes and to make registration citizen friendly, Cabinet has approved the Assam Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Rules, 2024

- Cabinet has approved restructuring of the Directorate of Town and Country Planning, Assam to reflect current needs and address urban issues like urban flooding, etc. 2 additional posts of Joint Directors, and 46 new posts like GIS Expert, Specialist Architect, etc. has also been approved
- Cabinet has also approved setting up of 2 Milk Processing plants in Jorhat and Dibrugarh with a capacity of 100 TLPD each. Two more such plants are being planned in Dhemaji and Cachar in the coming days
- In a big boost to the livelihoods of dairy farmers, Cabinet has approved a scheme to provide subsidy of ₹5 per litre via DBT to dairy farmers who sell their produce through Dairy Co-operative Societies
- To give fillip to natural industries and boost income and livelihoods, Cabinet has approved notification of the Oil Palm Crop as a Cash Crop in Assam
–Cabinet has also approved guidelines for the declaration of Industrial Estates for promotion and development of Wood-based Industries
- Two tea tourism projects have been approved: one in Lepetkata Tea Estate, Dibrugarh, and another in Durrung Tea Estate, Sonitpur.
- To ensure no indigenous family or public institution like Mandir, Namghar etc, is deprived of Land rights, Cabinet has approved

–Accepting manual applications under Mission Basundhara till 31st January for public institutions
- To provide relief to small vendors, Cabinet has exempted small vegetable and Paan-Tamul vendors from paying any form of fees to Mahaldar
- A Cabinet Sub-Committee will review the exclusion of pre-2006 educational institutions from the Provincialised Schools list and recommend inclusion measures within a month

- ₹22,000 crore approved by Cabinet for implementation of Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Asoni (MMMUA), Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asoni, etc for 2024-25
— Guidelines for implementation of MMMUA have also been approved and ceremonial distribution of seed capital will begin from April 2025
- To ensure unabated development of BTR, Cabinet has approved release of ₹401.50 crore SOPD-G funds for projects to be implemented by BTC
- Cabinet has approved the guidelines for constituting Anganwadi Center Management Committees for proper functioning of AWCS
- Cabinet has approved enhancement of State’s share capital from ₹3,000 crore to ₹6,000 crore in Assam Power Generation Company Ltd

Update on Umrangso Mine Tragedy
- ₹10 lakh ex gratia will be offered to the Next of Kin of the four deceased persons.
- Next of Kin(NoK) of the other five persons who are yet to be found will also be provided ₹10 lakh compensation, whether they are found to be dead or alive
- A judicial enquiry commission headed by Justice Anima Hazarika, former Judge of Gauhati High Court will be instituted to examine the matter and fix responsibility against responsible officers, individuals and institutions
- A SoP will be framed regarding effective blanket ban on Rat Hole Mining in the state
- SIT will be constituted to enquire into the entire incident on the basis of the FIR already registered on the matter. The SIT will be monitored by Retd Justice Anima Hazarika
- The Mines and Minerals Department will take steps to close all existing rathole mines wherever they are found, in consultation with the central agencies

- To enable eligible people to avail services under MB 3.0, Cabinet has approved the application resumption window for MB 3.0 Services till February 15, 2025
- Honouring their indigenous heritage, Cabinet has approved exemption of 3 generation domicile policy in review of Mission Basundhara 2.0 rejected applications to Koch Rajbongshi, Moran, Matak, Chutia and Ahom communities for extension of services under MB 3.0
- Cabinet has approved proposal to extend the benefit of the enhanced loan threshold limit of ₹30 lakh to existing 37,277 beneficiaries with an interest subvention of 1%
- Cabinet has approved 234 crore to improve 219 rural roads in Tea Garden areas of 19 districts
- To supervise the development of startups in Assam and provide policy, funding and mentorship support, Cabinet has approved creation of a new administrative department, “Department of Innovation, Incubation and Startup”
