Cabinet has accorded Administrative Approval of ₹400cr for Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University, Gohpur. The University will offer cutting edge pedagogy in Al, Quantum Computing, etc aligned with requirements of Industry 5.0
Cabinet has approved the Operational guidelines for implementation of Mukhya Mantri Utkarsh Yojana to strengthen and uplift the FPO ecosystem
A grant of 15 lakh each will be provided to 500 FPOS/FPCs in 2 phases and two instalments for various farm development activities
Cabinet has approved the Chief Minister’s Jiban Anuprerana Scheme for Research Scholars which will provide one-time financial assistance to eligible full-time research scholars, including full-time Divyang (differently-abled) research scholars, enrolled in public institutions in Assam
One-time financial assistance of ₹25,000 for research scholars of Central/State Universities and ₹40,000 for Divyang research scholars
Cabinet has concurred issuance of financial sanction of 1,450cr Mega Mission Society-Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana for better implementation of schemes like CMAAA, MMMUA, Paddy procurement, Amrit Sarovars, Milk Processing plants in Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Dhemaji etc.
To boost connectivity in Dima Hasao, Cabinet has approved ‘The Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Area Roads Development Project (ADRHARDP)’ to develop a disaster resilient road transportation network in the hill district
A total of 3,875 has been approved to develop 348 km of disaster resilient roads and an early warning and quick response system for landslide and flood disasters, which will boost tourism, trade and commerce
Cabinet has concurred issuance of financial sanction of 843cr fund to BTC for FY 2025-26
Cabinet has approved re-designation of 35 posts in the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the districts as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). This decision will strengthen administrative efficiency and leadership whilst bringing clarity in command structure of Police in the backdrop of creation of Co-districts

Cabinet has accorded approval to increase the incentives of ASHA workers & ASHA Supervisors
ASHA Workers will now get a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹4,000 instead of ₹3,000 from October 1, 2025 onwards
ASHA Supervisors will now get a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹10,200 instead of ₹9,000 from October 1, 2025 onwards
Cabinet has approved allotment of land to be followed by settlement in favour of 1,011 non-individual juridical entities (educational, religious and socio-cultural institutions)
The allotment will be as follows- Sonitpur: 464, Golaghat: 306, Majuli:205, Kamrup: 36
