The State Cabinet has approved the introduction of the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), for State Govt employees covered under NPS
Assured payout will be available to employees on superannuation after completion of qualifying service or on voluntary retirement
The rate of full assured payout will be 50% of 12 monthly average basic pay, immediately prior to superannuation. Family Pension will be 60% of Pension Payout (Before demise) and a lump sum payment will be allowed on superannuation @10% of monthly emoluments (basic pay + Dearness Allowance) for every completed 6 months of qualifying service
Cabinet has approved granting of the minimum pay scale to 1231 muster roll, casual and fixed pay workers
Cabinet has also approved enhancement of the fixed pay equivalent to helper allowance at ₹16,400 to 99 fixed pay Grade-IV employees of GAD
Cabinet has approved payment of ₹5 lakh each to the Next of Kin of the nine people who had died in Tamil Nadu as financial support from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
