- Cabinet expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and the Union Cabinet for approving the development of the Shillong-Silchar Greenfield High-Speed Corridor at a cost of ₹222,864 cr
- To strengthen the power sector in the State, Cabinet has accorded approval to targeted subsidy of ₹300cr to APDCL to provide tariff respite to Jeevan Dhara and Domestic-A categories of consumers for FY 2025-26
- Cabinet has approved the establishment of Lala Town Water Supply Scheme under Hailakandi PHE Division to provide uninterrupted water supply to every household in Lala Town
- As the ARTPS services have stabilised in the State, the 362 Public Facilitation Centres have become redundant. As such, the Cabinet has approved one time grant of ₹50,000 to 746 PFC operators along with existing computer hardware to enable them to become Village Level Entrepreneurs under CSC
- To ensure effective implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin, Cabinet has approved involvement of Jal Mitras in the rebranded role of SWA-JAL Mitras where they will be involved in IHHL monitoring and veri verification, raising awareness about Waste segregation, sanitation activities etc
- Cabinet has approved to provide ex gratia of ₹5 lakhs to the NoKs of the deceased of the tragic Pahalgam tragedy
- Cabinet has approved customised incentives under IIPA 2019 to 12 companies who signed MoUs during Advantage Assam 2.0
- Cabinet has approved implementation of priority consideration for 347 OBB teachers of Nalbari district under CMAAA 2.0 as a one-time special provision
- Cabinet has approved the Amendment of the Assam Sericulture Technical (Gazetted) Service Rules, 2013 to provide 100% Direct Recruitment of Extension Officers from candidates having minimum qualification of B.Sc in Sericulture from any recognized Institutes to be selected through APSC which will create employment avenues for Sericulture graduates
- Cabinet has approved a convergence model between Water Resources Department (WRD) and the PandRD Dept, for construction of new embankments on the Brahmaputra and Barak rivers, and their tributaries
- Cabinet has approved the Assam Thermal Power Generation Promotion Policy 2025 to ensure energy self-sufficiency for Assam by 2035

— Cabinet has accorded approval to rolling out Assam Tea Garden Workers’ Financial Assistance Scheme, 2025
- As a mark of gratitude to tea garden employees in the 200th year of Assam tea, one-time financial assistance of ₹5,000 to approximately 7 lakh existing workers will be provided, as promised in Assam Budget 2025
- Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the benefit of Apun Ghar Scheme with the loan threshold limit of ₹30 lakh to both regular employees of notified State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and contractual employees of State Government Organizations, whose service are notified up to the age of 60 years
- Cabinet has approved the proposal of providing 50% of Admissible House Rent Allowance to 13,822 Muster Roll, Casual and Fixed pay workers
- Cabinet has approved the proposal for Reduction in the Registration Fees of Cooperative Societies under the Assam Cooperative Societies Act, 2007 from 1% to 0.5% of the Proposed Authorised Share Capital of the proposed Cooperative societies. This will be applicable to new societies as well as old ones seeking to amend their Authorised Capital
- Cabinet has approved implementation of the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme for Graduates and Research Scholars to be rolled out from October 2025
- Cabinet has approved the Assam Electronics Components Manufacturing Top-Up Scheme, 2025 which will provide a 60% top-up on the incentive sanctioned by the Government of India under its Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme
- Cabinet has accorded approval to Assam Pumped Storage Power Generation Promotion Policy, 2025 which aims to position Assam as a hub for pumped hydro storage
- Cabinet has approved extension of coverage of the Apun Bahan Scheme for the year 2025-26. The benefits under this scheme will be extended to both – regular employees of notified State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and contractual employees of State Government Organizations, whose services are notified up to the age of 60 years

- To give fillip to dairy production in the State, Cabinet has approved to lease 20 Bighas of land to AMUL for setting up a State-of the-Art Product Dairy Plant at Institute of Farm Management Campus, Rani
- Cabinet has approved the distribution of subsidized Masur Dal, Sugar and Salt to NFSA beneficiaries from October 2025 in select districts and from November 2025 in all districts
- To boost private investment in the State and create more job opportunities, the Cabinet has approved 2 proposals under IIPA.

- Cabinet has approved enhancement of monthly honorarium of 1,313 Part-time ICT Instructors under Dr. Banikanta Kakati Computer Literacy Programme to ₹20,000 from October 2025
- Cabinet has also approved extending a service guarantee for Instructors until the age of 60 years
- The ICT employees will also be eligible for the Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Aarogya Yojana, along with the Apun Ghar and Apun Bahan Scheme

- Cabinet has approved the “Policy for Concert Tourism in Assam” which aims to position Assam as a premier music and entertainment tourism hub to host large scale concerts and music festivals
- To fully exploit the solar power generation potential of the State, Cabinet has approved ‘Assam Solar Power Generation Promotion Policy 2025 which aims to generate 3500 MW of Solar capacity by 2030 and attract private and public investments in the State to create around 15,000 jobs
- Cabinet has accorded Administrative Approval for Phase-2 Development of Lachit Barphukan Police Academy at a cost of ₹229.41cr, which is expected to be completed in 2 years
- Cabinet has approved construction of New Assembly Complex and MLA Hostel in Dibrugarh at a cost of ₹284.03cr
- To upgrade the Khanikar Multidisciplinary Sports Complex, Cabinet has approved increasing seating capacity of main stadium from 5,000 to 35,000 seats at a cost of ₹209.13cr
- Cabinet has approved the proposal for final notification of 47,306.33 ha area under the 6th addition of Kaziranga National Park
- Cabinet has approved release of ₹205.725 Crore as the Fourth and Final Call towards the Government of Assam’s approved equity investment in Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)
- Cabinet has approved implementation of payment of full notified wages in all ATCL gardens from 1st October 2025

- Cabinet has approved a Special Scheme for Grant of Arms Licences to Original Inhabitants and Indigenous Indian Citizens in Vulnerable and Remote Areas of Assam.
- Cabinet has approved seeking 250cr assistance for Upgradation of 34 Polytechnics and 43 Government ITIs into Centres of Excellence in collaboration with Tata Technology Limited
- To honour the stalwarts of Assam, Cabinet has approved renaming of the following institutions
— Mangaldoi Stadium to be named as Raja Dharma Narayan Stadium
— Sarusajai Sports Complex to be renamed as Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex
— State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development to be renamed as Golap Borbora State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam
- Cabinet has approved allotment of land by APDCL to Greenko Energies for development of 900 MW off-stream Pumped Storage Project in West Karbi Anglong
- Cabinet has approved relaxation in admissible categories of land for cultivation of Oil Palm under National Mission on Edible Oils- Oil Palm (NMEO-OP)
— This Cabinet has also allowed cultivation of oil palm in other categories of land under NMEO-OP in addition to farmers having Myadi Patta land and Eksonia Patta land
