Financial support of ₹25,000 each to 1,000 young writers

Books, alongside Gamusa to be presented as official gifts at Government functions
Govt. of Assam will publish a book on Late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and distribute the same to eminent personalities and institutions of the State and across the country
Cabinet has approved customised incentives under IIPA 2019 to 4 companies who will make a combined investment of ₹1,843 crore in various sectors and employ around 850 direct employees
Cabinet has approved the re-organization and renaming of development blocks in Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Tamulpur and Udalguri districts of BTR
A new development block- Gobardhana Development block will be created in Baksa district, taking total development blocks in BTR to 23

To avoid the possibility of infiltrators acquiring Aadhar Card, Cabinet has approved the implementation of revised Standard Operating Procedure of the State Government Portal for Aadhaar Enrolment of citizens above 18 years of age
District Commissioners are authorized to allow Aadhaar enrolment (18 years and above) in rarest of rare cases
To address historical exclusion, this restriction shall not apply for one year to individuals from SC, ST, and tea garden communities
The Aadhaar enrolment of the left-out individuals from the abovementioned groups will be completed within one year

Cabinet has approved the framing of an SOP under the Immigrants (Expulsion from Assam) Act, 1950 to guide the District Commissioners (DC) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) to expel illegal migrants from Assam
Identification of illegal immigrants
If the DC receives such information from the police or any other source that a person is suspected to be an illegal immigrant, he will direct the person to produce evidence of his citizenship within 10 days
If the DC finds that the evidence submitted by the suspected illegal immigrant is not sufficient/satisfactory to prove prove his his citizenship citi of India, he will record his opinion opinion in writing identifying the person to be an illegal immigrant which shall consist of a concise statement of facts and the findings thereof with reasons
Expulsion order
The DC shall pass an expulsion order under Section 2(a) of the Act of 1950 with the direction to remove the illegal immigrant from Assam by giving 24 hours’ time and by the route so specified by him. The DC may also pass any further order with regard to the removal of the illegal immigrant, if required under Section 2(b) of the Act.
In case of DFNs identified by the FTs, the DC will pass an expulsion order since in their case no identification process is necessary as they may have already exhausted remedies available by approaching the High Court and the Supreme Court. In some other cases, such DFNs might not have preferred any appeals.
Once a person is identified as an illegal immigrant and has been ordered to remove himself, the DC will refer the illegal migrant to the SSP concerned for capturing their biometrics and demographic details on the Foreigners Identification Portal
Expulsion procedure
If the illegal migrant does not remove himself despite the expulsion order, the DC, as per Section 4 of the Act of 1950, with the assistance of the SSP concerned, shall either keep such illegal immigrant in the Holding Centre and or hand him over to the Border Guarding Force nearest to him for expulsion.
Illegal immigrants, if detected near zero line, or within 12 hours from his/her entry in the state, will be pushed back immediately without any further process.
