The UP Government has envisioned a $ 1 trillion GSDP after presenting a ₹ 6.15 lakh crore maiden budget of the new government for 2022-23. It is aiming to create four lakh jobs in five years while planning a capital expenditure of 1.5 lakh crore with major focus on infrastructure.
For children orphaned because of Covid-19, a UP CM Bal Seva Yojana has been planned with ₹ 2,500 per month to each one of them to support their education and protection. The Government has earmarked ₹ 1,500 crore in the Budget for purchasing two crore smartphones/ tablets over the next five years.
An outlay of ₹ 650 crore is there in the Budget for farmer accident insurance. It is targetting 10,000 start-ups in the State.
