Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of a slew of development projects on May 10 during the last day of his three
day programme in Assam. Mr. Shah has been in Assam since May 8 to participate in the anniversary celebration of the BJP-led alliance Government in Dispur.
The Home Minister arrived in Guwahati on Sunday by a special flight and left for Mankachar in South Salmara district in a special helicopter to inspect the IndoBangladesh border. Later, in the day, he inaugurated a Census Office in Amingaon in Kamrup district. At the time of this newsletter going to print, Mr Shah was attending the inaugural programme of a super speciality hospital under GMCH and a National Forensic Science University.
Among some of the projects that the Home Minister is set to launch include: An auditorium with a seating capacity of 5,000; an Integrated Directorate
Complex, Integrated Deputy Commissioner’s Office of Kamrup Metro, Commissionerate of Police Building, and redevelopment of Guwahati Police Reserve.
