Cultural Affairs Department
Cultural Affairs Department Minister Bimal Bora presided over a meeting on Assam State Film Policy 2019 at the Administrative Staff College in Guwahati on January 23. Eminent filmmakers, artistes, and technical experts took part in the interaction, which was also attended by Assam State Film (Finance & Development) Corporation Chairman Simanta Sekhar, and Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department, Laya Madduri. Stakeholders appealed to the Government to give traction to the policy, besides course correction required in the light of the present day scenario.
Directorate of Information & Public Relations
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma interacted with media representatives and senior citizens of the State on January 1 at the Koinadhora State Guest House. He spoke on the various initiatives undertaken by his Government in the year 2022 and outlined the policy direction envisioned by his Government for the year 2023.
