- To give the existing Karimganj district a distinct identity which justifies its rich cultural heritage, Cabinet has approved renaming Karimganj as Sribhumi district
- In order to build upon the growth momentum in the State and attract investments and infrastructure development in Assam, Cabinet has approved holding of the Assam Investment and Infrastructure Summit, 2025 on 24 & 25 February
- To facilitate preparation of Electoral Roll for the Panchayat Election on the basis of Electoral Roll of the Assam Legislative Assembly prepared under the provision of the Representation of People Act, 1951, Cabinet has approved Amendment of Rule 12 of the Assam Panchayat (Constitution) Rules, 1995
- To achieve the State Govt’s plan to increase forest cover and accelerate the adoption of agroforestry as a significant component of the agricultural ecosystem, Cabinet has accorded approval to the Assam Agroforestry Policy, 2024
- To augment revenue, facilitate the taxpayers and to promote ease of doing business, Cabinet has approved the Assam Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024
- To give fillip to rural development, Cabinet has accorded approval to implement 94 projects worth ₹70.3332cr in the Soil Conservation and Agriculture sector
- To effectively utilise space inputs in various developmental projects in the state, Cabinet has accorded approval to designate Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC) as State Nodal Agency for policy support pertaining to Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS, UAV / DRONE survey in the State
- To continue with the urban reform initiatives of the State, and to achieve planned urban development through Building Construction activities as per norms, Cabinet has approved the amendment of the Assam Unified Building Construction (Regulation) Byelaws, 2022

- The District Headquarters of Hojai, is currently known as Sankardev Nagar, named after Gurujona Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev, as a tribute to his invaluable contribution to Assam
- To give due reverence to Gurujona, Cabinet has approved changing the name of Sankardev Nagar to Srimanta Sankardev Nagar
- The Assam Microfinance Incentive and Relief Scheme (AMFIRS), 2021, the foremost electoral promise of the Govt of Assam has been rolled out to lakhs of beneficiaries who could not repay microfinance loans in order to improve their credit discipline and make them credit worthy again
- Under this scheme, relief has been extended in three categories till now, extending over ₹2,081 Cr to nearly 12 lakh borrowers
- To take this scheme further to encompass borrowers with a total liability from ₹25,001 to ₹50,000 as of March 31, 2021, Cabinet has approved rolling out of AMFIRS Category III Phase 2 Relief (one time support) covering over 78,000 borrowers with a support of over 223.26cr
- Cabinet has approved Financial Sanction of ₹110cr for payment of Voluntary Retirement Benefits/One Time Settlement to regular employees and Gratuity payment to Contingency menial and Fixed Payee employees of ASAMB as the first instalment
- Cabinet has accorded approval to the proposal for rationalization of the premium of land in Guwahati and urban areas of Assam
- Cabinet has approved the Holiday List for the year 2025

- The 108 Ambulance Service is an emergency response system designed to provide timely medical assistance and is available via a toll-free number 108. It serves an average of 35,000 people per month through its existing fleet of 800 ambulances
- The service, run in PPP mode is operational since 2007 and has so far served over 65 lakh people
- To enable its seamless operations in the coming days, Cabinet has accorded approval to release of ₹115.04cr as payment to service provider
