To ensure financial stability of State Govt employees and/or their family members in the unfortunate event of their death or disability, Cabinet has accorded approval to signing of an MoU with State Bank of India or any other Scheduled Commercial Bank having salary account of State Govt employees to provide zero-premium based insurance coverage with the following details
In case of accidental death: ₹1 crore
In case of permanent disability: ₹1 crore
In case of partial disability: ₹80 lakhs
In case of death in service due to any illness: ₹10 lakhs
This insurance coverage will be over and above the regular benefits applicable to State Govt employees
Continuing with the tradition of providing bonus before Durga Puja to employees and workers of ATCL tea gardens, the Cabinet has accorded approval to payment of 20% bonus to eligible employees and workers of ATCL
To give relief to electricity consumers under Jeevan Dhara and Domestic-A categories, Cabinet has accorded approval of Targeted Subsidy to Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) worth ₹200 crore for FY 2024-25
As a mark of tribute to the contributions of Bir Raghav Moran towards the Moran community, Cabinet has accorded ex-post facto approval regarding declaration of Restricted Holiday (RH) on 19th November, 2024 on account of ‘Bir Raghav Moran Divas’
To give fillip to industrialisation and entrepreneurship in the State, Cabinet has approved the Assam Industrial and Investment Policy (Amendment) 2024 and amendment to The Assam Start-up Policy (Amendment), 2018
With an aim to provide effective & efficient citizen centric administration at the grassroot level, the State Cabinet has approved operationalisation of 39 Sub-Districts (out of total 78 notified Sub-districts) districts) in the first phase from 2nd to 8th October, 2024
To cater to the need of the upcoming Tata Semiconductor Plant in terms of hospitality and accommodation to visiting officials and industrialists, Cabinet has accorded approval to lease out 6 acres of land of the erstwhile HPCL Nagaon Paper Mill property in the northern side of NH-37 to Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) for a period of 60 years to set up a hotel

State Cabinet has decided to hand over cases registered at various Police Stations in Assam related to the matters of Unregulated Deposits involving fraudulent transactions and trading of huge amounts of money in unregulated manner to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
To impart domain specific skills to Engineering and Science students in Assam and to upskill employees, Cabinet has approved the proposal to establish a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Aerospace & Defence, Automotive & Electric Vehicle Industries etc
To allow courts to continue to devote time for serious offences and decongest jails by releasing the Under Trial Prisoners who are accused in petty cases, Cabinet has accorded approval to amendment of Para 3 of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued vide Notification No. E-217405 dated 21.10.2022 for withdrawal of petty/minor criminal cases in subordinate Courts throughout the State
Cabinet has accorded approval to Amendment of the Assam Secondary Education (Government Schools) (4th Amendment) Service Rules, 2024 and the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) (4th Amendment) Service Rules, 2024
To enhance sports Infrastructure in the BTR region, Cabinet has accorded Administrative Approval to Construction of a State-of-the-Art Sports Stadium in Kokrajhar at a cost of ₹107.89cr
To boost power availability in the State, Cabinet has accorded approval to procurement of 100 MW of Wind Solar Hybrid Power from NTPC by APDCL
To facilitate smooth traffic management on the busy Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Road (GS Road), Cabinet has accorded approval to Construction of Flyover at Existing traffic signal near Downtown Hospital under SOPD 2024-25 at a cost of ₹111.654cr
To upgrade facilities and experience at Guwahati Zoo at par with international standards, Cabinet has accorded Administrative Approval to Modernization of Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Guwahati at a cost of ₹362,04,12,933
The Governing Body of CMAAA in its first meeting approved 25,238 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan including 174 professional candidates and 25,064 general category candidates

To promote regularity of students in schools and act as a deterrent against dropout in secondary level, Cabinet has accorded approval to procurement of bicycles for students of Class IX in Secondary Govt/Prov. Schools for 2024-25
