Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Electronics and Information Technology, Jitin Prasada, on his recent trip to the State had a comprehensive review meeting at the office of Kamrup Metropolitan District Commissioner and assessed the implementation of various Central Government schemes in the district.
Mentioning this on social media, the Minister posted, “Held a review meeting with Guwahati MP Smt. Bijuli Kalita Medhi, MLAs Shri Siddhartha Bhattacharya and Shri Atul Bora, Mayor Shri Mrigen Sarania and senior administrative officials to assess the implementation and progress of various public welfare schemes of the Government of India.
He further added under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government continues to work with unwavering dedication towards the uplift and inclusive development of the people in the North Eastern States.
The Minister later inaugurated district enterprise conclave expo and had an on-site inspection of an ethanol factory. During the visit, he held meaningful interactions with industrialists, artisans, and craftsmen, offering valuable insights into Assam’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
“Under the visionary leadership of Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, continuous support for industries across the State has opened up wider markets for local artisans and craftsmen, thereby enhancing their self-reliance and livelihood opportunities. Through the various initiatives of the double-engine Government, Assam is witnessing a robust strengthening of its local economy while also creating new avenues of employment for the youth,” the Minister stated.
The Minister later called on Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and also visited and interacted with the tea workers of Amchang Tea Estate.
