Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma spelt out his vision of his Government, especially his Dispur’s relentless efforts and initiative in creating what he called “a robust environment for investments through a bouquet of policies” in a meeting of the US India Strategic Partnership (USISP) Forum in New Delhi recently.
Dr Sarma told the gathering that Assam’s inherent strengths – geographical, natural resources, flora & fauna – coupled with enabling policy push guided by the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the State a powerhouse of opportunities. “From tea to trade & tourism, we offer enormous possibilities for businesses,” he told the high-profile gathering.
Earlier, Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of the Forum, in his address, said that the high profile delegation in India was there to assess and discuss India’s economic outlook ahead of the Budget in 2023, and a look at how States like Uttar Pradesh and Assam are drawing new investments, on the eve of India’s assumption of the G20 presidency,
